Prospect Park

Half of the Prospect Park and Southland Park district, platted in 1920

About Prospect Park

Hubert F. Krantz platted Prospect Park in 1920 and named it after the one in Brooklyn. It and Southland Park together form a single district of about 115 acres, bounded by Lake Worth, South Dixie Highway, Monceaux Road and Monroe Drive, which the National Register listed on 8 April 2011 with 410 contributing buildings out of 592 resources. Its component plats run from 1920 through the Southland Park additions of 1923, Monceaux in 1926 and El Cid Court in 1937. The street grid is rectilinear except where it curves around the park itself.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of August 14, 2026. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
