Palm Beach Shores

The low-rise town at the south tip of Singer Island

About Palm Beach Shores

Palm Beach Shores occupies the south tip of Singer Island, with the ocean east, Lake Worth west and the inlet south, across which lies Palm Beach. The two were one island until the inlet was cut. A fishing settlement called Inlet City stood here from 1906. Arthur Octavius Edwards bought 240 acres in 1947, platted 631 lots, built the Colonnades Hotel in 1948 and deeded the beach to the town, which took corporate form in 1951. Its comprehensive plan holds the town to low density, in contrast to the towers further north on the same island.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of August 3, 2026. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
