Wellington

Wellington real estate, every home, every condo and every sale, by Mark Zilbert.

About Wellington

Wellington is a village of about 61,600 residents in central Palm Beach County, incorporated in 1995 on land that was Charles Oliver Wellington's Flying Cow Ranch in the 1950s. Palm Beach County approved the Wellington plan in 1972, and Palm Beach Polo followed with golf courses, polo fields and the Winter Equestrian Festival, held here since 1974 and now staged at Wellington International, while the polo club hosts the U.S. Open Polo Championship. Real estate runs from golf and lake communities to horse farms with barns and arenas. The guard-gated enclaves include Palm Beach Polo, Grand Prix Village, Palm Beach Point, Olympia, Versailles, Isles at Wellington, Black Diamond and Polo West, with Mallet Hill and Saddle Trail Park among the farm neighborhoods. The School District of Palm Beach County runs Wellington High and Palm Beach Central High here, and private schools include St. David's Episcopal and Wellington Collegiate Academy. Forest Hill Boulevard crosses the village, US 441 runs along its east side, and Palm Beach International Airport lies to the east. We follow Wellington's sales and listings community by community.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of October 30, 2026. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
