About Parkland

Parkland is a city of about 34,700 residents in northwest Broward County, running from US 441 west to the Everglades and from the Sawgrass Expressway north to Loxahatchee Road. Cattle farmer Bruce B. Blount sold the first plots here as BBB Ranches in the late 1950s, the city incorporated in 1963 with fewer than 100 residents, and in its first decade horses outnumbered people. It has since grown from 420 acres to more than 8,000, and the Census puts the median owner-occupied value near $983,000. Most of the city is gated communities: Heron Bay, with more than 30 enclaves, Parkland Golf & Country Club, MiraLago and Cascata, Watercrest, set around lakes on 288 acres, and Parkland Bay, built around a 178-acre lake. Eleven city parks carry family, dog and horse trails, and Pine Trails Park has an amphitheater. Broward County Public Schools runs the city's public high school, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High, and Mary Help of Christians is a Catholic school in Parkland. We list Parkland's homes and follow its sales enclave by enclave.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of October 29, 2026. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
