Pelican Harbor

The Upper East Side blocks at the 79th Street Causeway

1 / 1

About Pelican Harbor

These are the Upper East Side blocks where NE 79th Street meets the John F. Kennedy Causeway and heads out across the bay toward Miami Beach. The state carries the route as State Road 934, splitting it into a one-way pair over NE 79th and NE 81st Streets before the two rejoin at the water. Just offshore, Miami-Dade County runs Pelican Harbor Marina and the ten-acre Pelican Island picnic ground. The Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, a wildlife hospital founded there in 1980, broke ground in November 2024 on a much larger building along the Little River.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of the latest data update. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
