About Roney Palace
Roney Palace is an oceanfront block between 23rd and 24th Streets carrying two residential condominiums and a hotel. The older of the two inherited its name from N.B.T. Roney's 1925 hotel on this site, a Schultze & Weaver design demolished in 1968. The newer building stands at the north end and went up in 2008. A third condominium between them holds the commercial and hotel-room parcels under a single owner and trades as 1 Hotel South Beach. Both residential buildings reach the sand from inside the block, and the Beachwalk crosses it.
