About Kings Bay

Kings Bay is the southernmost and detached piece of Coral Gables, at Old Cutler Road and SW 144th Street, bounded by Mitchell Drive on the north, the power station on the south, Deering Bay Drive on the east and Ludlam Road on the west. Ben Cooper built it as a 68-acre community of 150 houses on land leased from the university and the agriculture department, alongside the country club he opened in 1956. Coral Gables annexed it in December 1995 and reconfirmed the annexation in 2003. Its guard gate began operating in 2009.

Averages are weighted as total dollars over total square feet. We calculate averages based on closed sales in the MLS for the past 12 months, as of August 10, 2026. Averages are based on properties that are listed or sold for $350,000 and greater. Additional reports at all price points are available here. Price-per-square-foot figures are rounded to the nearest dollar, up or down. Where fewer than 5 closed sales exist in the window, we report the count rather than an average.
